2004 Chardonnay Reviews

Sue Courtney 'Wine of the Week'

"Quite fruity with creamy oak aromas and beautifully balanced nectarine and stonefruit flavours with vanillin oak, fruit concentration and a long, stylish finish. "

Keith Stewart

"Soft, light yellow.
Nice nose is slightly mealy, with some ground in fruit characters, oak, and a whiff of milk softness.
Sweet fruit intensity on the front gives it immediate lift, and the intensity carries the mid palate with added succulence and a firm freshness. Finished fruit flavour and clean, with a lightly silky texture giving way to a juicy dryness. Smart and satisfying. "

Michael Cooper's Buyer's Guide to New Zealand Wines 2007

"This Label is worth discovering. The 2004 vintage (5 Stars), French oak aged for 10 months, has complex, citrusy, mealy flavours, with lovely richness, texture and harmony."
