Summerhouse Pinot Noir

A gorgeous New Zealand Pinot Noir. A bouquet of ripe cherries and black berries with hints of violets and cedar oak.The palate is deliciously juicy and opulent on the palate with lively acidity and fine grain tannins.

Summerhouse Pinot Noir is crafted from six parcels of fruit grown on the Clone 777, 115, UCD6 and AM 10/5 vines.

At the winery the hand picked bunches were gently destemmed and moved to their fermentation tanks. After a two to five day cold soak, the fermentation took place with both cultured and wild yeasts. The ferments were hand plunged three times a day. The wine then underwent a secondary malolactic ferment while maturing for ten months in French oak barriques.
