Gewurztraminer Reviews and Awards
Michael Cooper's Buyer's Guide to New Zealand Wines 2010
"The debut 2009 vintage looked promising in its infancy. A single-vineyard wine, it is weighty, with ripe pear, lychee and spice flavours showing good delicacy and depth, and an off-dry finish."

Summerhouse Gewurztraminer
Aromatic and intense with gorgeous flavours of Turkish delight, lychee and ginger. Brimming with scents and flavours, it evokes memories of opulent Indian summers and warm breezes.

Wonderful rose petal, ginger and Turkish delight fragrances are found in this cool climate Marlborough Gewurztraminer. The palate is a mouth full of Turkish delight and ginger with a touch of rose followed by cloves. The smooth texture is weighty and opulant. Light, bright and pale in colour with a hint of pink.
Clones 456 and 1106 of Gewurztraminer are grown for aromatics and palate weight.
The fruit was carefully hand picked and whole bunch pressed to ensure purity of flavour. Specially selected yeast strains were used in the free run and first pressed juice. The ferments were kept cool to retain the fruit aromatics and flavours. The wine rested on less before being racked, gently filtered and bottled.
